The professional team of our association which was lead by Chen Ming-Bang, the first director-general of the Intellectual Property Office, includes the professional experts who retired from TIPO(Taiwan Intellectual Property Office), lawyers, and the masters and doctors degree level elites who have sufficient practical experience from all kinds of fields. Hong Kong R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies (LSCM R&D Centre) is one of the six R&D centres funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR Government. Established on 20 April 2006, the LSCM R&D Centre is commissioned to foster the development of core competencies in applied R&D in logistics and supply chain related technologies and facilitate adoption of these technologies by industries in Hong Kong and mainland China. The LSCM R&D Centre is hosted by three leading universities in Hong Kong: The University of Hong Kong; The Chinese University of Hong Kong; and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. The LSCM R&D Centre facilitates industries to move up the value chain by providing a one-stop service for applied research, technology transfer and commercialization. The long-term goal of the LSCM R&D Centre is to strengthen Hong Kong's economic competitiveness and to enhance its technology leadership in the logistics and supply chain management industry.

The Hong Kong Intellectual Property Society (HKIPS) is a non-governmental and non-profit making organisation with the principal objective of promoting the awareness of intellectual property rights of the individual and a respect for the rights of others.

HKIPS is managed by a Council of Management comprising right owners and personalities that are closely connected with the work of protecting IP rights in Hong Kong. The Honorary Chairman is Dr. Tao HO. The Chairman is Mrs. Selina CHOW and there are seven other Councillors from different professions.

The Intellectual Property Right Protection Alliance is aimed to establish a broad-based platform for fostering closer cooperation between the C&ED and the IPR industry. It is a symbol of the stronger commitment of the department and industry to work in collaboration to pursue the goal of removing piracy and counterfeiting. It also serves to provide support for the "No Fakes Pledge Scheme" operated by the Intellectual Property Department to promote the sale of genuine goods in Hong Kong.

The Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) is an international association of business and commercial lawyers who live in, or otherwise have a strong interest in, the Asia-Pacific Region.
